I didn’t have a chance to actually put the totems I made last year out into the garden because it was so late in the season.
Here are a few snapshots of them in the green jungle that is my garden. Have a happy day!

Really cute Sunshine. I actually went to Value Village in the spring to specifically look for old vases, bowls, tea cups and the like with the intention of making one for myself. Gads, they are jacking their prices up. The wanted $25.00 for an old teacup !!!! I can get one at the antique mall for like $8.00. So I never made one, dang. I really really want one !!!
Did you know that value village is not a non-profit organization or an organization that supports community endeavors! I just learned this the other day. I always thought goodwill and value village were the same thing but no. Value village is a private for profit business that sold for a few million or more! not long ago. Now I don’t want to shop there.
My Aunty was telling me that just the other day. They don’t exactly advertise that do they? You’re right, I’d rather find a Goodwill. In our old community there was this place called ‘The Busy Bee’. Everthing they sold was distributed back to the community. Lot’s of seniors in that town and made for some good finds.
Lovely. What did you use to hold yours together? I made one but it didn’t hold together so now I have all the pieces and I’d like to tray again.
I used flextra clear exterior caulking. It has held up really well so far. It needs at least a week to cure but I think the longer it cures before setting outside the better. There is a picture of exactly what I used if you follow the link at the bottom to the DIY:how to. Any brand will do just make sure it is for the exterior and do not cheap out on what is available. I hope you try it!
My friend at work loves your tottems, and wondered what you would charge for one
I love all of these, what a great idea!
Fabulous! I love all of them…and that cute frog, too. What a great idea.
Thanks! That frog is just too happy!! He’s my bud, I have a severe weakness for anything frog!
